$28 Inspection Sticker
I had my Impreza in the dealership getting a safety inspection. The inspection costs 25 bucks plus tax, and for that you get a nice new sticker on your windshield. That is all. I found out my front brakes had a little over 35% wear left on them....they should last 6 months, hopefully.
I was picked up by a nice man in a 2009 Subaru Forester - a shuttle driver. Along the way we picked up a young woman who found out her Audi A4 had problems with it's passenger airbag - a $700 dollar problem. She opted not to get the airbag fixed. I think they washed my car but I cannot be sure (it was rainy out anyway).
Out front stood a brilliant blue 2006 WRX STi....beckoning to me. I had to look away. Those cars are just monsters.
On another note....my old Yahoo! YDP-530 DVD player finally died the other day. The symptoms were pulsating power light, lack of being able to speed up the DVD, and the "No Disc" error. It was a cheap piece of Chinese crap DVD player anyway. The only good thing about it was the USB and memory card ports. I picked up a decent LG player at Best Buy for $69 bucks (30.00 off the 99 price). It's way better than my old player and can handle MP4 and even do 1080p upconverting. I don't have an HDTV yet but it may be useful in a few years.
