Winter Weather Havok!

Above, a picture from London, Ontario, Canada. The middle of Canada has gotten up to and over 200 cm of snow within a week. The snow was so great in Minneapolis that the sports dome roof collapsed due to the weight. 

Meanwhile, in the Maritimes, we haven't had much of any snow. In fact the estimated temperature in Halifax is expected to shoot to +12 C on Monday with heavy rain. The grass is still green over here. I'm a little concerned because by this time of year we were supposed to have 20 cm of the white stuff. I think we only got 2cm so far. If this trend continues we could expect to have a green Christmas this year.

Global warming has taken root. I have to admit, I was one of those people who didn't believe in Global Warming. I thought it was a myth, a lie, something generated by the big environmentalists. But the facts are there: The planet is getting warmer. Even a factional increase in the average temperature can have serious consequences for other animals. Polar Bears are losing their frozen environments. They've started eating each other, desperate for a meal. Even if we stopped using products that contributes to global warming, it will take several thousand of years.
