Safety First -Always

While riding the board in North Glenmore Park this weekend I encountered a man on a bicycle who inquired about the board. He was fascinated by the motors and surprised how fast it went.

I was wearing full gear and helmet. A lady nearby said 'good on you for wearing that equipment!'.

You really do need it. Travelling faster than 15 km/hour it gets a bit sketchy on sidewalks and places with cracks or gravel. I've ran off the board once and it was painful to the foot. On smooth asphalt the board will hit 22 mph. Too fast.

When driving a bicycle or car this speed is trivial. When you fall down it's another story. Riding in traffic is something I won't do unless it's a sidestreet with few cars or designated bike lanes.
