XFX R9 280 --> Asus 1060 GTX 3GB
I bought the R9 XFX 280 about 4 years ago for $399 CDN. I'm selling it tomorrow for $130 CDN. This is how well this card holds value. Incredible.
The card is huge and weighs 2 pounds. It uses 250 watts of power at full load and can do most games reasonably in 50 fps or so. The huge memory bandwidth (384 bits?) is much wider than the 1060 GTX but the GTX beats it on power consumption (125 Watts) and speed (8GHZ memory!).
I'm hopeful this card will last a few years. So far, it has proven very capable of 1080p with pubg.I thought about getting the 6GB card but the deal was very sweet and upgrading would have meant costing significantly more money than I'm willing to spend. I also opted for the OC cooling version, which shows 2 fans and heat pipes to draw the temps efficiently.
