Jollibee Calgary
Jollibee, a popular fast-food franchise from the Philippines, its been in operation for over 40 years. It just opened a restaurant in NE Calgary, and I had a medical appointment, so I thought I would stop by and see what the fuss was about. Stupidly, I went to the front door, but was turned away. I looked - there was a tent behind me. I apologized to the security guy at the tent and got in the back of the line up.
I know nothing about Filipino food, so I took a menu and chose chicken bucket 'b', Palabok, and some delicious mango peach fruit desert pies.
So many customers, you have to fill out a form for the order.
A popular item - the mascot for Jollibee. I think it's a registered sex offender.
45+ people work in this kitchen. SO many people, cooking, packing, movement everywhere.
They give you an electronic paging puck when your dinner is ready for pickup. Mine took 20 minutes to cook.
Above: Palabok, Below: Delicious crispy juicy chicken, and mango peach pie.
A crazy spaghetti combination of hotdogs, cheese, meat sauce, and sweet taste.
Kitty really loves the electric heater. I think Theresa would have liked the chicken, hated the Palabok, and not really cared for the spaghetti. She would have loved the peach mango pies, although they are very crusty.
