A year ago I predicted Trump would get impeached, and, yes, I was right. It never really did anything to the end game of US politics.

New Year's Eve was pretty quiet - 2 beers in, a few tokes, and then chill out for the evening. On a high moment, I purchased some new hardware for my computer. I'll be assembling that stuff in a few days when it arrives. Goodbye Intel i5 4670K, hello Ryzen 7 3700X.

Who knew after 10 years I'd be going back to AMD ? We'll see how well it runs.

Gaming back then was so smaller. I have the same 24 inch dell monitor that I bought back in 2008/2009 (an ancient TN screen with terrible color and awful blacks).

But it's been working. The old AMD system I sold off cheap, upgraded to the i5 about 2-3 years ago. (Maybe more? I can't find my receipts).

With the 2080 RTX Super, the new Ryzen 7, liquid cooling, I'll be able to run the case cool and quiet (I hope). Right now, there is a steady stream of heat coming from my old P182 case. That's because the fan and ducting is not great, it requires massive intakes. Just idling alone this card can warm up a room comfortably.
