iphone bricked

Updating to the latest iOS shouldn't involve a system level recovery. My phone was updated today and when I tried to run the google authenticator, it crashed. Removing the app was a mistake because I lost all my goddamn 2 factor listings.

I perform a restore from backup and it makes the phone boot loop with an apple logo. Keep in mind this is an iphone XR, so it's only a year old. The only way to fix this is to hold down the power button for 30 seconds and hope you get the "plug in cable" message.

Then you can try to recovery using itunes. After you do that, perform an icloud restore. But this means you to go home, pick up your tablet, then drive to work and pay $24 to park downtown for 4 hours.

At least I got my phone working with the data again.

Just don't even bother updating until the every last second, unless it's a critical security patch.
