You have entered level: LOCKDOWN

 

COVID-19 cases are averaging 2K a day and the hospital beds and ICU's are filling up quick. Today the government announced more strict measures to keep the disease spread to slow down. They take into effect on Saturday. 

 

 A month ago the medical doctors group suggested a 2 week reset period with extra measures. The government declined to do that. That was back in November. Look at how quickly that line jumps up, unrestricted it would mean Alberta has the worst infection rate across Canada. 

And yet, we have anti-mask people marching downtown, complaining about "their rights" being impacted by a simple piece of paper. I call them Cov-idiots. So they held a rally, marching downtown without masks and close to each other. A covid party.

Last Christmas was Black Christmas, the first one without my Bubbins. This Christmas is called the Dark Christmas, due to the restrictions and total loss of socialization and isolation. A young woman at the Eyeglass store asked me what I was doing for Christmas. I told her I'd likely be getting drunk and high. I call it the Mr. Lahey Christmas.
