New Whip, Sold a Car

I sold my 2012 Mazda 3 for a song; it had to go. My new-to-me 2018 Rav 4 XLE AWD will arrive on Wednesday. It has all the fancy electronics and gadgets that a newish car can have - power everything, heated everything, power lift gate, etc.

I'm going to miss my old 2012 Mazda 3. I sold it to a younger man who bought it for his 16-year old sister. I gave him a dashcam, 2 sets of tires, and a great deal. I was asking $3K, but lowered to 2.5K. He drove it away last night.

I paid about $13 K for the Mazda back in 2013, and although the Carfax said it had "3 accidents" the car was actually in 6 total. 5 from being a rental vehicle. That dealer was pretty shady.

The newer Rav4 has never been in an accident and has about 128,000 km on it. My Mazda has about 118K.  The Mazda was starting to rust pretty badly on the exterior, I figured it was either time to repair it (2K for body work) or sell it as-is. So I chose the other route, I wanted a newer car with cruise control, and this one has adaptive cruise control.

When I test drove the Rav, someone almost ran into my lane, and the early warning lane alarm went off. I am going to buy a Blackview front & back camera system very shortly.
