Silence
You know it in your gut, that awful feeling - something isn't right. A job recruiter told me to wait a few days before they make a decision. My stomach churns. And guess what? Your sixth senses are telling you the truth. I never got those jobs, but I continue to look for work. Hope springs eternal.
RELATIONSHIPS
I remember last year I wasted time with someone for a few weeks. This girl I met, kept on sending texts and then slowly, over time, stopped getting back to me. After a few weeks of this nonsense I ignored her and cut all communication. It taught me a lesson about dignity and standing up for yourself. I never chase people, that's for sure.
And in truth I dodged a bullet. That person was and still likely is addicted to crystal methamphetamine. That would explain her bizarre behavior. I want nothing to do with that.
And going back to Theresa, I would ask myself "What would she do, in my position?" Blood would be on the floor.
I winced.
