Bright Landscapes

 

You know, I never thought about my life that much until recently. When you boil down the things you really need, other than heroic bloodshed movies. I recently watched about 20 minutes of The Killer, then a whole movie of Old Boy. I then moved to The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

These movies resonate with me because of the heroic icons they appear to be: Good, lawful, and ass-kicking. I especially liked the scene in The Killer (1989) which shows two men talking in a church, and one turns to the other and says "Do you believe in God?" as he hands over a suitcase with guns and money.
