Lower Back Injury
On Wednesday morning, I was called out to a client site to help with a network outage. I had to stand, semi-stooped, for almost 3 hours while troubleshooting on the phone with colleagues.
Although I didn't know it at the time, the stooping and lack of chairs ruined my lower back muscle. I could barely walk. In excruciating pain, I went home near 12:00 PM. When I got there, I could barely think due to the pain.
I lied down, hoping it would dim. It did not.
I spent the night in agony.
The next day I tried hard to get to work, but ended up screaming in my vehicle when I moved my body to the left. I got out, and walked up stairs in hellish pain, and told my employer I had to take the day off again. I went to the doctor later in the day, who confirmed I hurt my lower back and muscles.
I stayed home, took muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds. I'm still on them. I should be back to work on Monday.
I have to rest.
