Does death hold a schedule?

Just two days ago a young 27 year old woman was racing to cross a busy city street and ended up being run over by a dump truck. Unnamed sources say the woman, Jaclyn Hennesse, was jogging from a Tim Hortons coffee shop and ran across the street down sackville. Passerby saw the woman, wearing headphones, run directly in front of the dump truck.

"People were yelling at her to stop, but she didn't", one unnamed man said. I feel sorry for her. They had a nasty picture of her laying underneath a white sheet on the street, with her blood clearly seen at the back of the truck. How horrific.
This is going to sound a bit nuts, but I'm starting to think that Death has some sort of schedule. Every week someone dies in a horrible accident. Someone is either shot, stabbed, beaten, killed in car accident, or some other way. And I don't mean "natural death" where people who are 80+ years old die from pneumonia.

My other suspicion is that if indeed death has a schedule there is nothing you can do to avoid it. On other news we got blasted with lots of nasty snow today. I know. AWD drifting. But soon...soon...
