No Snow.... No AWD Drifting.... Just Making Bread?
No righteous stories of epic rooster tails coming from my '07 Subaru Impreza lately. Sadly, the weather has been unseasonably warm as of late. I received a breadmachine from my mother for a Christmas/Birthday present (my birthday is tomorrow!). I have to say making bread in that machine has been very challenging to say the least.
The first four loaves were total write-offs: Too high, too low, too burnt, inedible, and undercooked. Now that I have the recipie down pat, I have no problems boosting out a fresh loaf of bread in about 4 hours time. Very satisfying. The taste is incredible when compared to the local store crap. And toasted - whoah! What a difference.
So until the snow starts flying out here in Atlantic Canada, I'll be sitting here playing around with a bread machine. Pretty pathetic, yes, but that's life. I'd talk about the latest begging rounds of the big 3 in Detroit this week, but you already know what their deal is. I'd rather talk about shares and dividends than the future of 3 dinosaur companies.
I think Rick Wagoner (GM CEO) will have a nice lump of coal in his sock this year. It's just sad the workers are the ones who have to suffer. Rick has millions stashed away in banks. What about the workers? Nothing. They are fucked. And to this I pray that they will recover, and survive. They are the real people with issues. Will God answer my prayer? I don't know. Considering the havoc that was caused last week in Mumbai India, I am really starting to wonder if God is on a vacation these days. No offense to God, but seriously - who is in charge on the Earth these days?
These are very sad times.
