Lose your pet? Check the linen closet.
For a few hours I thought my cat had disappeared under the bed or was hiding somewhere within the back part of the closet. Who knows, those areas are pretty gray to me and I don't like going there much. Too spooky. I even tried the shaking of the treat bag trick - you know, when you take the bag and shake it vigorously enough so that you KNOW any cat within half a block will be coming down to the apartment. But it didn't work. I was starting to get worried. And then it hit me: What if he was in the linen closet? I had a shower earlier and I totally forgot about it. I cracked the door open and...........sure enough, deep behind the racks of towels and bedsheets was a perfectly cozy kitty. He didn't seemed alarmed at all. In fact, I think he was a little pissed for disturbing him! Earlier last week I was a bit worried, my cat's left paw was starting to be favored and he was in pain. We checked it out and found the claws had grown around and needed immediate trimming. We usually catch this right away. After a few days, he was back to his old self. Whew. Now be quiet, we don't want to disturb him now do we?
