RIP George Boutilier: 85 years young

I met George Boutilier in late 2000. He is the step-father to my girlfriend. George was a no-nonsense guy with a great sense of humor. He drove his Tercel car way faster than it ever should have gone (but we loved it). He loved baseball, hockey, and MMA & boxing!  He loved to tell dirty jokes, play cars, gamble, and swear. George was very caring to the people around him. Unfortunately last July he felt sick, and after going to the hospital for a few months, found he could no longer walk.

His wife could not take care of him anymore, so we went into the Veteran's hospital. A very beautiful place full of people who really care about your loved ones.  I cried when George passed away. I hate death.  I know he was very sick - died of pneumonia and his kidneys was shutting down. He was a World War 2 veteran and hero. He jumped from air planes in the middle of the night straight into the German front lines. God bless you George. You will always be loved.

And now a song I know which will drive me to tears.
