Death is never easy.

In-law's sister is currently in the hospital.... at death's door, sadly. You may remember my epic bullruns (trips) to Charlottetown, PEI - well, that's where she lives. Lung cancer - coupled with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, is a real killer. Grief and grieving is a difficult process to get through. The last time someone died, it was George, and that was a little over a year ago. My how time has flies.

You remember the building I used to live in? It's a charred, burnt piece of rubble now. Approximately half the building is still standing. I have no idea why - maybe the owners are waiting to rebuild half of it, or maybe they're waiting to demolish the entire structure. Who knows. I count my lucky stars for moving out of that dump in August of 2011. It could have been me who lost everything back there.

My little cat that I adopted in November of 2011 has grown up. He has claimed the entire computer desk right next to my keyboard. I have to admit, it's really nice to be able to reach out and pet him when I'm browsing reddit or some other time wasting website. He follows you wherever you go. For example, if you go to the bathroom, he'll follow you. If you go to the living room, he'll trail behind you. It's so cute that he actually keeps pace when you walk in the apartment.

I'm going to go relax and watch a horror movie to take my mind off the depressing state we're in.
