Back to California

One quick ride downtown confirmed my suspicions: Both motors may initially work, but the painfully obvious problem is clear: Left side dead due to connection problem. It's either the motor controller electronics or the actual cabling that connects the battery to the controller.

The board is soooooooooooo slow with 1 motor and braking is absolutely dangerous. You have no reliable brakes. Anyone seriously considering a single motor skateboard should reconsider. I would even be bold enough to say NEVER buy a skateboard with hub motors.

Moving through intersections takes extreme concentration and strength to hold back the panic. People run in front of you? Cars? You're going to nail them. Judicious use of the bike bell helps. I actually had to yell at a person today while slowly moving downtown to get out of my way.

I've met stray animals with more common sense.

I'm going to be back on Twitter tomorrow. I haven't decided on my nickname yet. I have a special post for all those 4/20 enthusiasts in Canada.

........Allegedly.
