Amazon Prime
Well,I finally signed up for Amazon prime. I'm not endorsing this service, but I purchased it mainly to have free 2-day delivery. I purchased a laptop for my good friend Paul, who came down from Montreal to help me and my wife. He teared up when we gave him the Asus laptop. I love this guy, he deserves it.
Back at work, explaining my skateboarding folly. I love the people I work with. I received a nice card from a couple of sweet colleagues and managed to get around in a wheelchair. I'll be back tomorrow in a wheelchair because my upper body strength is not 100% yet. I'll try this out next week.
I purchased a Synology DS218+ NAS and 2x 4TB hard drives (barracudas) because my laptop hard drive finally gave up the ghost. I can use this NAS with my Nvidia Shield which will now be my main plex server.
The Nvidia shield will easily transcode 4K video and has tons of GPU horsepower to work on complex video files with no drop offs.
NAS's are expensive. I paid $400 for the box (without drives) and $150 for each 4TB hard drive. I might purchase a UPS but that'll be in the future.
I'm still trying to copy my files up to the NAS which is excellent. I never knew Synology could be this great.
