30 Days Cannabis Free and Pushups Update
Can you believe it was 30 days ago I took the self-imposed "No Weed November" challenge? Man how fucking time flies. My productivity has increased and I've been excerising like a devil. My original 100 push ups a day challenge that I started on November 15th? Well today's the 30th and I'm doing 330 pushups a day. 330. I can do 30-40 at a shot, rest for a few minutes, then repeat. My chest has grown and arms are getting fairly large compared to how I looked back in October.
But lets be clear, doing these pushups in the beginning was hard as hell. The idea of doing this excercise was predicated by Joe Rogan's Sober October, where he quit weed and liquor for a month and began exercising like a maniac. The first few days my ass would hurt and my arms were absolutely blasted. But then over time, my body adjusted and I found doing 100 pushups too easy. I knew I had to increase the repetitions to challenge my body. And so I did, gradually.
The benefits of exercise is you feel better about yourself. There is more energy and strength to me now. I can easily open doors without bracing myself. My leg, although atrophied from the break in July, is now stronger and the muscles are growing slowly. My arms are now almost twice the size they were a month ago. No joke.I have a barbell set and I would work out every goddamn night no matter what. But now I've toned it done to 1 day on, 1 day off. I still do pushups every fucking day.
There's a lot of benefits to Cannabis use but I must speak about the possible negatives too.
Rage
I found that when using a lot, it made getting angry quite easy and I would jump off the block in rage sometimes.
Psychological Dependency
Physically, you can get addicted but it takes a long time and a very high use rate. However, I found it was far more psychologically addictive. Its easy to spin your mind around when depressed, bored, or craving.
Expensive
Weed is expensive. The legal stuff can range all the way up to 900 $ an ounce (15-17$ a goddamn gram). And it's not great quality either. I have a strain called "free" that smells straight up like cat piss.
On the illegal market, you can get ounces for as little as $80 and sometimes the quality is far better than the legal shit you can get. No joke.
Use weed in moderation and never drive. Consume very responsibly and remember to always never let it decide your day. Never wake and bake. Never depend on it. Depend on yourself.
