I have assembled my new gaming rig: Theresa I wll name it.

I won't say how much money I spent, but let's just say Santa was especially nice to me this year.

Alienware 34" ultracurve 1900R monitor
Logitech G910 Keyboard
Logitech G502SE Hero mouse
Phantex Ethoo Luxe Full Tower case
Corsair 850 W fully modular power supply
Asus X570-PRO motherboard
Intel 660 m.2 nvme 1Tb drive
Samsung 860 SSD
Samsung 850 SSD
+ 3 spinning disks of various sizes
Asus ROG RTX-2080 Strix 8G Graphics card
Amd Ryzen 7 3700X
GSkill 3600 Memory (I need to RMA this, I'm only getting 2333 Mhz)

The speed is incredible. The case is beautiful. The keyboard is over the fucking top. It has lit LED's which do an infinite amount of combinations of colors. I use it for audio visualizations really. I loooove the effect. The stupid Arx doc use useless. Who puts a smart phone there? For a shitty phone app? Nah.

I have to tidy up the power supply area tomorrow, put the metal shield plate in. I'll post pictures when it's fully done.

Computers have come a fully way since the last time I built one 6.5 years ago. Individually lit keys were very expensive back then. I remember that maximus keyboard costing $800!

Back in 2003, I had a Benq wireless keyboard designed by BMW no less! And that was one expensive bitch ($99) for an over-designed but beautiful keyboard. I'd later give it to Paul for free.

I sold my old Asus 1060GTX to a co-worker for $100. Her husband is a gamer and their system is old. The next day I decided to throw in my old motherboard, ram, cpu cooler (yes - the Noctua DH-15!!), power supply, and cables. I kept the case. It's just too sentimental for me. Also, it props my my right arm.

I am going to put Theresa's LPN badge permanently inside the glass case for display.
