Ramblings

 14 months since she past away. The tears, they still come far too easy. A memory, I pull out my phone and listen to a voice message. To hear her voice again. "Hey it's me, can you pick me up a nail file? Thanks, bye!" And 4 photos are on my phone's favorite list. I smile when I see them.

   And yet, I can remember times when the whole family was alive: George, Marion, Theresa, and Bernice. And now to think all that exists is between my ears and in my heart.

We met back in January 1999, at the original Cowboy's bar in Calgary. My trick was to give girls my card which had my number on it. Theresa was so cute back then, and a good dancer. She called me the next night and we went to Cowboys. Great time, our first kiss was at the entrance.Wow.

The shot setup was simple: GoPro Hero 8 Black, LED ring light, vacuum chamber, pump, and iphone for 2nd video. The Gopro would be shooting at 4K slow motion, I was amazed to see the marshmallows actually touch the top of the vacuum chamber lid. They did shrink a little bit from peak height, but at -27 bar, they were pretty huge. 

Letting the air in made them shrink very small and they tasted fine - but the texture was awful. It was a compressed blob of marshmallow. Hard to swallow. and kinda disgusting after the swallow. It lingered in your throat.*
