Panasonic GH5, iPhone 12 Pro Max Phone
I also picked up a Saramonic dual-channel wireless microphone setup. The Audio-Technica one I bought from that nice girl on Kijiji didn't work exactly as I thought it would. The stream was silent. I ended up using my gigantic studio microphone. Which sounds much better, I think I'll use the Saramonic for outside use only. It costs about $200 for the microphone, not bad.
The Panasonic GH5, kit lens, and Minolta 45mm F1.8 arrived too. I am going to use the Minolta (shown above) for portrait photography and live streams. It offers a very sharp focus and the depth of field is excellent, there will be blurred backgrounds!
This camera is HEAVY and has a flip-back screen. It does 4K at 60 fps, but seriously, do you even need 4K? I think I might just shoot in 1080p for a while, as the video size is enormous.
I'm also running out of disk space on my SAN. I need to invest in more hard drives, probably a 14 TB drive at least.
The old iphone XR (below) was losing charge... I got a new iPhone 12 Pro Max, the thing is massive, 7.1 inches, but still am waiting for my case and protection screen.
I think this is it for gear purchases. The camera came with a kit lens which is a Leica 12-60 mm, fairly large, and I'll use it outside. The silver minolta is the one I'll use for streams and in-house production crap. I will not be roaming around the downtown with this camera, too expensive. The GoPro is far more durable, and if I drop it, I know it will work.
This camera has a steep learning curve, just trying to figure out how to use the basics.
