Visiting and Leaving

Driving the RAV4, I felt guilty for some reason. "I should buy her a car. Or a couch set". My mom wouldn't accept these gifts. I refused to take her money. I wanted to spoil her with small things and work around the house. Theresa would not want me to feel guilty about this. My mom wants a new couch next year. 

It is impossible to complete all the work I wanted to do while on vacation. There isn't enough time. To be honest, I lack the construction skills to replace her front door. My brother will have to help with that. 

He's been very helpful to her in groceries and appointments. I took a tour of Winnipeg with my friends yesterday and was shocked at the new houses being developed here. People are buying houses 50,000 - 100,000 above the asking price. Totally insane.

I replaced her bathroom taps, shower head, living room curtains, and bought some things she wanted. Tidying up was hard but we did a huge chunk of it. I will come back in a few months to help her again.
