Wandering and Going Nowhere

Here we go again, as I wander downtown Calgary delivering food for Kitty. It was a nice day weather-wise, a bit chilly in the morning. I have 1 week left at this apartment, then I move to another one on October 1st. Kitty will be joining me, and I'm excited. I miss him.

The buildings and skyline offer vertigo views. The blue skies, distant clouds, make me wish sometimes I could just stay up there, forever.....

Objects of power are everywhere. The lone Mustang GT 500, >500 horsepower vehicle, too dangerous to drive in my opinion. Anyway, there it was, waiting for a photo to be taken by me.

The 1970's slab concrete design is everywhere. I never liked that design much.

I found a lost Honda Civic, airbags deployed, sitting on the grass after an accident. Well, I hope the owner and occupants made it out safely. It took a major hit on the left side.

The scourge of drugs. People camped out in the park, high, and oblivious to what's happening around them.

I never believed in the promise of All You Can Eat. Ugh.

A sign from a local thrift store, I decided to take a photo.

I've kept my vehicle clean - mostly. I'll tidy up before winter approaches. It's due for an oil change in a week.

I need to keep fit; I'll continue working out as much as possible. I purchased a new shirt from Walmart yesterday. I like it.

I went to Costco yesterday, and the line was massive. I decided not to buy this crap. I left the store empty handed.

Cobbs bread - it's OK, but expensive. I really don't care about bread. I find this bread doesn't taste that great. It's marginally better than store bread.

I know a lot of people who smile but have no joy. Myself included. It's like that quote from the movie Battle Royale: "I never knew why she smiled, but I was glad to be her friend".

A man so lonely, he'd take a smile over nothing.

How sad is that.
