Dignity

 

There is so little dignity left in the world now, and it leaves me astounded. I remember growing up in Winnipeg, surrounded by assholes at school. I was bullied and belittled daily. And it has not changed one bit, with the exception of bullying. People are assholes.

Instead of punching down, I ignore. You have to realize all actions have consequences, no matter how small they are.

I hope to be a good man, one that is always kind and caring. I hope never to ignore suffering or to willingly inflict suffering on anyone.

And yet, it's 2022, and Christmas is almost upon us. I hate this time of year. So fake and pretentious.

And alone.
