Watching People Watch You

 

I became keenly aware someone was staring at me when I was waiting at the doctor's office one day. I was wearing a new shirt and pants. My old dress style was all black. But within the past few months, I have launched my shirt collection from T-shirts to $300 Robert Graham collector pieces. 

Those shirts were bought used from Value Village. I don't even want to say how much money I threw at the store in the past 4 months alone.

And lately, my 'style' has attracted attention. I have no idea why. I feel great wearing nice clothes. No, my taste isn't very expensive. These shirts cost about $12.50 to $18 a piece. I picked up a pair of pants that were brand new listed at $29.99, regularly $130. Not bad.

Problem is, where can you go wearing pure white pants these days?

Anyway, I continue to exist. Kitty is fine. I haven't found that someone special yet. I know I will one day. Theresa is always in my heart and mind. I've recovered quite nicely since her passing. I rest easy knowing that she lived a long life, and she would want me to meet someone eventually.

When that day arrives, who knows.

I hope to be ready.
