The New Year

 

The temperature in Calgary is a brisk -38 degrees Celsius and I'm on the brink of being frozen. I was plugging in my battery warmer and it was taking longer than I thought. 

It's a plastic blanket that is heated by electrical resistors in the plastic wrap. It will keep the battery at a cozy above-zero temperature in a few hours. 

Compared to a block heater that uses 500-800 watts, these little battery warmers are only 20-40 watts.

But anyway, it's freezing cold and the walk to work from the parking lot is brutal. But I do enjoy my job.
