Carnage on highway

Early this morning a man from Quebec was driving his Pontaic Solstice on Highway 104 between Springfield and Amhearst in Nova Scotia. It was raining and I presume the car hydroplaned into an opposite lane where two huge semi trucks were coming from the opposite direction. As the Solstice spun out, the first truck missed the car but the second one hit the driver dead-on to his door in a classic T-bone. I could only imagine the horror he must have been in those final seconds as the truck closed in on him and then instant death. God be with him. Police reported three other accidents in Halifax and Dartmouth this morning - all due to hydroplaning.

Earlier this year I was driving my car down the highway and I could FEEL my car drifting under the water. I immediately slowed down to 60 km/hour (down from 80). The car regained control and I cooled my jets. What did the other drivers do? Speed up and pass me going 100 km/hour! It's incredibly dangerous to speed when the rain is coming down very heavy. In fact, you should never go the speed limit. I was lucky, I was able to sense the car drifting a little bit under the water. Unfortunately the driver from Quebec had no chance, and died instantly.
