Welcome to the rally

Driving in Dartmouth lately has been a challenge. First the road crews ripped up the entire half of the road leading from pleasant street to down town dartmouth. They did this to lay down some new sewage and water lines. What they neglected to do is replace the said holes with proper asphalt. They instead put in loose gravel. The loose gravel is about as bad a road surface you can get, besides using mud. When it rains, you get huge dips in the ground. When it's dry, enormous dust clouds fill the air. The HRM had a brilliant plan on dumping water on the gravel during the day time. While it cuts down on the airborne dust, it does nothing to resolve the poor road surface. If you've never driven on gravel before, it's like riding on a sliding belt. You're never sure if the road you're on is going to slide right under you - whether in turns, starting, or stopping. While it's a blast to drive with an all wheel drive vehicle, I quickly got tired of it when i realized how much wear this gravel is putting on my tires. It's getting bad. I'm going to file a complaint to the HRM this week. Even in my home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba, they take care of the roads better than this hell hole. Calgary seems like a dream too. I so need to move.
