Tiger Wood's Fall from Grace

"The fall from grace is steep and swift,
and when you land,
it does not make a sound,
because you are alone."
A poem by Cari Williams, 1995

Yep. It's easy to point fingers and laugh at Tiger Woods. I mean, he's GOT IT ALL: Supermodel wife, children, nice cars, house, money in the bank, no worrying about food or health. But when someone jumps from woman to woman without as much as thinking about the consequences or after effects.... an underlying problem exists indeed. The media have been going nuts over this. And by media I mean the entire fucking world. Hell, maybe aliens in the next galaxy already heard about him and the stripper hookups and thought "Dude, seriously, what the fuck?" And we laugh and tell Tiger Woods jokes at work. It's human nature. The real sad story here is the children. They have no idea their family was blown apart by some very bad actions.

I don't know if you ever watch Californication (great show btw), but he reminded me of Hank Moody: Obsessed with women, intense desire to sleep with every one he could, and an irrational behavior of sexually obsessed-lifestyle. I really hope he gets his act together and rebuilds the relationship with his wife. How he can do that is beyond me but who knows, stranger shit has happened. His commercial sponsors have jumped ship, he pulled out of a golf tournament. Last bit of news I heard was his wife bought a house in Sweden for $2 million. Not good. It's none of our business, really. But people seem to keep popping up in the woodwork, driving new celebrity-obsessed stories and junket panels on Fox and CNN. It's time he manned up, admitted his wrong doing in public, try to patch shit up, and move on. All these stories about secret payoffs and legal agreements to keep quiet... seriously? All I know that Christmas at the Woods house in 2009 will suck ass indeed.
