A Pacific low pressure system moving into Washington State Tuesday morning will bring heavy snow to parts of southern Alberta. Snow will begin Tuesday morning in western regions and spread eastward in the Lethbridge and Brooks regions in the afternoon. In the Brooks region, heavier amounts will fall in western areas like Strathmore and Vulcan. Heavy snow will continue through Wednesday before it tapers off Wednesday evening.
As the system develops, warnings may be extended to surrounding regions.
Snowfall warnings are issued when snowfall accumulations of great than 10 cm fall in 12 hours.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.

Finally - Calgary will get a snowy Christmas. Put away the boosted board, there will be no more boosting until the roads are completely dry and clear. And true to my spirit, I haven't bought much gifts yet. I save Christmas shopping for the last minute, mainly because I really hate shopping, and I love to procrastinate. It's a win-win.
