2 People Who Have Been Lost & Returned Alive

Imagine: You're on a happy getaway with friends or family, and you decide to step away from the main path to go to the bathroom or take pictures for your photography blog. Only these stories are true and the people were lost alone in the wilderness. Only bad things happen at night, proof can be found by watching The Edge (remember that scene?)

That gave me nightmares for days.  Here are 2 people who got lost and actually managed to get found or walk out of the wilderness. I'll post 8 more people over the next few days, so stay tuned.

#1.Aleksandr Kovalev

 In September 2017, a man named Aleksandr Kovalev disappeared from work in the Siberian village of Beregovoy.For some reason, he left his fully fueled truck and began walking in the wilderness. He survived for 2 weeks and found a highway road. He suffered extensive frostbite and had to be hospitalized.

The father from Zeya had vanished into the wild near his workplace at Beregovoy village on 29 August, and rescuers later found his abandoned truck, its fuel tank full, and his glasses inside.
He was discovered alive some two weeks later after walking out of the taiga alone on a remote highway after searchers had failed to locate him. The areas is full of both brown and black bears, along with wolves.

It is also in the territory inhabited by endangered Amur tigers.

His children asked him why he left the truck, but he couldn't remember. The cold can make your mind delirious and do stupid things like take off your clothes in -30 C weather. He is a very lucky man to be alive.

#2. Lisa Theris

It must have been terrible for Lisa Theris, to be naked, alone, and wandering the woods while high on crystal meth. Or so the authoritis believe. The pictures alone send me into a trigger panic. I hate bug bites.

She was lost for a total of 28 days. Doctors believe that she lost 18 kilograms (40 lb). She survived by eating mushrooms and berries and drinking water from puddles. When it rained, she would wring the water out of her hair and drink that. Her legs are scarred from scratches, bug bites, and poison ivy. She eventually found a road and collapsed from exhaustion. A female driver thought Lisa was a dead animal but immediately pulled over to help her and called 911 once she realized Lisa was a human being. The ambulance arrived, and Lisa was reunited with her family.

• Her discovery shocked authorities and Theris has only said that she ate mushrooms and berries, and drank muddy water in the woods
• DailyMail.com can disclose that law enforcement believe she was high, probably on meth, when she was missing in an area no wider than one mile at any point
• Two men who had been with her were so 'geeked out' they blamed each other for her murder, with one claiming the other shot her in the head and buried her
• The two men are both being held on separate burglary charges, with their murder claims meaningless thanks to the 'victim' walking out of the woods
• Theris is also revealed to have spent time in jail before she went missing
