Pushup Challenge 1 Month In

30 days ago I started doing pushups - about 100 a day, slowly increasing my amount. I started at 12 pushups, then 15, then 20.... I've set 30-35 per set a limit because I don't want to extend my range continuously.

And so, after 1 month of solid pushups and continuous workouts, I have achieved 400 pushups a day. It is not easy to get up at 6 AM and crank out 100-150 pushups before I leave for work. During the day I can manage an additional 100 pushups if done right after a bathroom break. (Perfect spot to be honest).

It is certainly not easy to crank the rest when I get home at night. Who wants to do that? Shouldn't I be smoking weed or some other shit?

I hold off. Exercise is important. 400 pushups may seem like a large amount but I feel no major accomplishment except for a more defind chest, arms, and traps.

I've increased the barbell weight by a little and added some more exercises. I think I lost a little weight during the challenge as I can now fit my size 32 pants.

I'm not sure what I'm trying to achieve, but I'm going to continue this madness until the end of December & then decide what the fuck to do next.

Pro's:

* Your forearms, chest, traps, and back get a little larger
* Can manage to do 30 pushups easily without much of a breathing increase
* Very quick recovery; can manage an additional 30 set within 5 minutes of rest
* This exercise requires no equipment, is easy to master and requires little to no room to work

Cons:

* The repetetive exercise can be boring
* Nobody will join you on this solitary crusade
* People will genuinely think you lost your mind
* Some people will incorrecty think you are training for a fight or some shit and offer advice on hand & foot placement (actually had this happen at work on Friday)

People ask me if I take days off. Why? There is no need. My body can quickly recover within 24 hours and I am ready again to do another 400 pushups.

We will see how far I can take this safely.
