Looking Back 1 year ago
Man how things have changed in a year. Last year, I had stopped smoking weed for 30 days in November. I had just gotten off crutches from my broken leg. Theresa's health was fairly good, but I always worried about her constantly.Unfortunately she would end up in the ICU on December 28, 2018 for double pneumonia. She got out on Jan 13.
In retrospect she worried about me constantly. Those 12 days in the hospital last year were the most shameful of my entire life. Yet she said it was a fluke accident. I felt cheated, I wasn't even going maximum speed on it.
I embarked on the 100-pushup a day challenge...which quickly ended up going out of control.... I think I hit a max of 420 (lol) push-ups for 1 day.... it was nuts. I had to stop, my arms were starting to get tendonitis from the repetitive motion of the push-up.
I moved to the gym in March of this year and haven't looked back. I still need to work on my diet, but that is an ongoing challenge.
I've been slowly clearing out the junk that resides in the apartment storage. Old bills, notes, Theresa's job applications from 2012... I remember that time clearly. She was very active and alive back then. The death of her mother, Marion, hit Theresa really hard.
The pain I feel when Theresa past away must be what she felt for her mother.
And now I know.
