6 Weeks, No Cannabis

For some people, quitting Cannabis is impossible to do. Back on Feb 15, I decided to stop using it for at least a month to clear my mind. Although the first few days were a bit annoying, I didn't feel a compulsion to use or have any cravings for it.

I asked a friend of mine to join me, but he declined. I could watch him smoke up on FaceTime without giving a fuck. I haven't quit forever, I'll likely smoke up on April 1st when I activate my Bumble account.

I paid $200 for the lifetime subscription, which enables me to hide my profile indefinitely. I did the math, the $200 may be expensive but overall it's cheaper to buy the one time, than revert to a monthly subscription.

The vivid dreams are back, some nightmares and really strange dreams. Pot is great, but use with moderation. Don't let it control your life. I only used it at night. I quit before for a month when Theresa was alive. This was back in 2018 of November. I called the next month "The December to Remember" because I had amassed so much pot, I was ready to get super high.

I do have 1 ounce of various weed ready to go, but no inclination to use it. And 10 grams of high quality black hash. God, why did I buy that? I showed it to my friend Johnny, and he couldn't believe it.

Find something else to do instead of using pot at night. For me, it was editing videos I shot on my GoPro. It takes hours to edit some of the videos I make. Davinci Resolve is one of the best apps I have ever used.

Time to look for a girlfriend. My 6 day a week workout is going to turn to 7 days. I figure why not? Use the TRX every day, it won't be that bad. Like David Goggins once said, people always rush to comfort when they are in pain. Either emotionally or physically. For me, it was weed. Sometimes its better to deal with the pain than numb it.

Next month, I'm thinking of getting the Panasonic GH5 to improve my video quality.

The GoPro is great, but impossible to properly balance on the Ronin. The Lumix will allow me to take advantage of it's 4K60 video recording, and low light performance.

I haven't decided 100% yet. The Sony A7III is kind of ridiculous, it costs $4,500 just for the camera body alone. The Lumix is about $2500 with the kit lens.

We'll see.
