Apprehension, Excitement, Eagerness, and Doubt

Having a greenscreen is awesome. Using software and a green felt background, you can create the illusion of sitting in front of any video or picture in real time.

Add the studio microphone and this setup is pretty good. Editing a video while streaming live is challenging. Almost as difficult of negotiating the maze of relationships you have with various people.

And yet here we are again. When someone appears on your radar, it's easy to see from the distance. But in a group or team setting, she makes herself known with subtle messages. This person who you haven't spoken to in months is suddenly talking to you more.

Actions speak louder than words. But words can have meaning if you listen and understand what is being said. I wish people who just say what they want. Instead of beating around the bush and using phrases, state what you want. In plain English. But it never happens.

So when someone is nice to me out of the blue, I get nervous. I begin to wonder what is this person's real intentions? In these situations, the best course of action is to do nothing and wait.

1. Wait the person out. They will contact you again if they want something

2. Observe their behavior, word use, and body language. Especially around other people

3. Really listen to what they are saying and doing

I am at point #1. Most men would think "You have to pursue" but this is not true at all. Women make the decisions on their choice of mate, not the men. But that doesn't mean you sit back on your ass and wait for someone to approach you.

Attraction is like the Sword of Damocles.

According to the story, Damocles was pandering to his king, Dionysius, exclaiming that Dionysius was truly fortunate as a great man of power and authority, surrounded by magnificence. In response, Dionysius offered to switch places with Damocles for one day so that Damocles could taste that very fortune firsthand. Damocles quickly and eagerly accepted the king's proposal. Damocles sat on the king's throne, surrounded by every luxury, but Dionysius, who had made many enemies during his reign, arranged that a sword should hang above the throne, held at the pommel only by a single hair of a horse's tail to evoke the sense of what it is like to be king: Though having much fortune, always having to watch in fear and anxiety against dangers that might try to overtake him. Damocles finally begged the king that he be allowed to depart because he no longer wanted to be so fortunate, realizing that with great fortune and power comes also great danger.
