Disappointment

 

"Those that expect nothing are never disappointed" are words that I live by. And know this, there is a lot of disappointment in the world these days. I know from vast experience.

And as I watch the world unfold in Europe, I laugh and wonder when it will all end. And by my knowledge of being around for almost 53 years, I think time is up. Justifiably. What a wonderful fireball that would be.

We move from goal to goal through life - usually money or objects. Sometimes perceived power, fame, or fortune. Things we cling to oh so desperately. But it doesn't work. It's like trying to save a sand castle from the approaching ocean tide. Useless.

You know, I remember back 16 years ago, it was different. 2006 was a different year for sure. Time waits for no one. 

And sometimes, not even then.
