Alone

I remember taking them to see the doctor every month. Her mother, Marion, would always yell "Therez, hurry up!" (It was the french pronunciation of Theresa's name that she hated. "I'll be right there, Jesus Christ!" she yells back while adjusting her makeup.

I help Marion into the car and we go out for the morning. Usually we'd hit Tim Hortons on the way back, two coffee's and a french vanilla for Theresa.

Now I sit all alone.

It's not funny how quickly time passes you by. One moment you're cuddling on the couch, and the next moment, thinking about your time in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia or even Halifax.

The headstone marker cost $5600 and I paid for it 2 months after she past away. I'm glad I did. They were two peas in a pod of hell. Life wasn't easy for us.

I sit and wonder at what to do. I'm sure the right movement or moment will happen.

One day.

Chris
