I was at Value Village Today...
Clothes everywhere. And what shoppers at Value Village won't know -- they don't wash them. These clothes are literally donated, sorted, and hung on racks without any cleaning. And although the bargains might be there, there is a cost. Clothes might have germs, bodily fluids, or insects on it. Gross.
I picked up 3 pairs of pants and a nice business shirt. I washed them once I got back to the apartment. I'm searching for another apartment again. And that's all I am going to say. I'm never disappointed by the way people treat me.
Browsing through endless clothes can be awful. Too many choices. I avoid the bright gaudy colors and focus on the darker tones. A lot of the clothes are at least 10-15 years old. The prices are absurd. You can actually buy better quality clothes at Costco or Walmart.
The electronics isle was full of old junk: Abandoned computer keyboards, mice, and DVD players that nobody uses anymore. The assortment of 80's and 90's alarm clocks, along with millions of cups and other useless gadgets were everywhere.
I felt out of place. I spent maybe $30 on the clothes and left. I felt I got a good deal, but the clothes are going to help me in the long run. I finally feel like I'm getting my wind under my sails again. I have hope. I always wished to have hope.
And its nice.
Chris
