That nightmare watch

The battery - dear God, was it difficult to remove the back case. I not only managed to remove it, but I bent the needle on the second hand. I also bought the wrong batteries for this stupid expensive watch.

And so, I ended up going to a watch repair shop. Who charged me $69 plus tax to replace the battery and fix the bent needle. And yes, although I had to drive halfway across the city, it was worth it.

The difficult part of this watch was the tiny ribbon cable which connects the piezo alarm element to the watch. It looks like  a fancy watch, but when you examine the plastic interior of the watch, you realize it's really an engineering marvel.

It should be good for 2 years now. I'll likely buy another watch one day, but for now, I'm happy with what I have - and grateful.

I don't suggest this watch for anyone. It's bulky, heavy, and impractical. It's large and hard to ignore. The ruggedness of it can't be ignored. But still -- I would wear this over an apple watch any day of the week.
